About

Born 1959, San Jose, CA
Resides, Pauls Valley, OK

My art explores the delicate and often blurred boundary between the surreal and the real, drawing from contemporary life where lived experience frequently challenges conventional norms. I am fascinated by the tension between personal perception and societal expectations—what we feel versus what we are told is “normal.” Through my work, I reflect on the dissonance, humor, and vulnerability that emerge in these in-between spaces. By distorting familiar imagery and juxtaposing unexpected elements, I invite viewers to question their own assumptions about reality, identity, and cultural conformity.
